Who is responsible for your information?

Steven Morris Consulting Ltd is responsible for personal information used to respond to enquiries about its services. The company is registered in England and Wales, number 16672937, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

What information is involved?

When you contact me, your message may include your name, email address, role, organisation and information about the business support you are seeking. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or confidential third-party material in an initial enquiry.

The hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and access times to deliver and protect the website. This website does not offer visitor accounts or a public enquiry database.

Why is it used?

Enquiry information is used to reply to your message, understand your requirements and discuss whether the services are relevant. The intended lawful basis is the legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and developing relevant business relationships. Where an individual is taking steps to enter a contract personally, processing necessary for those steps may instead be based on that request.

Technical information is used for website delivery, security and fault investigation. Information may also be retained where needed to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You do not have to make an enquiry, although it may not be possible to respond without contact details.

Who may receive it?

Information may be handled by the providers used for business email, website hosting and IT support, and by professional advisers where needed. It is not sold. Information is not published in a public contact list or guestbook.

Provider arrangements, including any processing outside the UK, must be assessed against applicable data protection requirements. Where an international transfer takes place, an appropriate transfer mechanism or applicable exception is required. Contact me for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

How long is information kept?

Enquiries are retained for as long as they remain relevant to the discussion or resulting business relationship. When deciding how long to keep them, I consider whether the discussion is active, whether a later follow-up has been agreed, and whether information is needed for legal, contractual or record-keeping purposes. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.

Technical access records are subject to the hosting provider’s retention arrangements. A client engagement may have separate record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive information in a portable format. Where consent is used, it can be withdrawn. These rights are subject to the conditions in data protection law.

Cookies and tracking

The supplied website code does not set cookies, use browser storage, load analytics, or embed advertising pixels. It does not load third-party fonts, video players, booking widgets or social-media feeds.

The email link opens your email application. The copy button writes only the displayed email address to your clipboard when you click it. LinkedIn links take you to an external website, where that provider’s privacy and cookie notices apply.

The hosting service may use its own technical controls. This notice should be revisited if analytics, forms, booking tools or other integrations are added.
